Although we love a good scare, we acknowledge that there are still some who are too young (or too afraid) to scream their way through a haunted house. Fortunately, there’s an increasing number of really cool Halloween events and attractions geared toward the little ones or fraidy cats in your life. One such event new for 2021 is Cemetery Lane, a trick-or-treat experience being brought to life by Black Cat Orange, the producers of the Midsummer Scream.
Between October 27-31, 2021, Cemetery Lane will take over the Heritage Square Museum located in the Montecito Heights area of Los Angeles. The experience will feature 13 trick-or-treating stops along a private, gated row of historic Victorian manors, which themselves have their very own haunted history. The historic homes will be decked out in their finest spooky style with decor and effects by Jeff Schiefelbein (the owner/producer of Sinister Pointe). Children and adults will make their way through the secure and safe area, where they can collect candy at each stop as well as face a few spooky “surprises.”
Tickets are timed to ensure a safe number of guests in the area. Masks are encouraged but not required, as the event is entirely outdoors. In addition to trick-or-treating and a plethora of photo ops, there will be food carts available for purchasing snacks and beverages, as well as a mini-shopping experience with unique vendors. And don’t forget to wear your best costume!
Tickets are on sale now and range in price depending on ticket time. Children under age 2 receive free admission; all other guests must purchase a ticket: Wednesday, October 27, 4pm-6pm: $25/6pm-9pm: $30; Thursday, October 28, 4pm-6pm: $25/6pm-9pm: $30; Friday, October 29, 4pm-6pm: $25/6pm-10pm: $30; Saturday, October 30 1pm-6pm: $25/6pm-10pm: $30; Sunday, October 31, 1pm-6pm: $25/6pm-9pm: $30. A $3.50 ticketing fee is non-refundable.
