Year-Round Haunts: Haunted Grimm House, Kissimmee, FL

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

This week, we take a look at another year-round haunt: Haunted Grimm House in Kissimmee, Florida.

Located just a stone’s throw from Disneyworld and Universal Studios Orlando, Haunted Grimm House is located in Old Town, a quaint little tourist area that also includes restaurants, shops, and a small amusement park. Grimm House is open all year, but their operating hours vary depending on the season. So be sure to phone ahead if you plan to visit.

Grimm House comprises more than 20 rooms with live actors and special effects. Some reviews on the Web seem to indicate that in the off season (which we would consider any month but October), the haunt has only two employees: one in the ticket booth and a single actor in the haunt. But there are also many positive reviews. After all, if done right, a good scare doesn’t need more than one actor. Next time Scare Zone is in Orlando, we will definitely visit for a first-hand account.

With Skull Kingdom resting in peace in the haunt graveyard, Grimm House is the reigning year-round haunt in the Orlando area.
