In some sad news, we’ve learned that Hawaii’s Haunted Lagoon attraction, on Oahu’s North Shore, will not be returning in 2013.
The attraction has been running since 2008 at the popular Polynesian Cultural Center and included a frightening canoe ride. Although no official reason was given for the closure, it seems most likely that it just was not profitable.

This leaves the Haunted Plantation in Waipahu as the main haunted attraction in Hawaii.
