i dont get the deal with cedar point and their ‘scare zones’ i mean its a scare zone. You dont need fast lane for it you are suppossed to walk through it not like a maze so really if you think about it they have 7 mazes and 3 scare zones.

Dorney Park doesnt have backwoods anymore but they have a new scare zone called head hunters. also they are not all mazes. Age of darkness, cut throat island, and the new one head hunters are scare zones. the rest are mazes.

You forgot to mention The Screamont Experience in Las Vegas. The October haunt was fun and we saw some great scares we hadn’t seen before. They are opening for a few weekends in December

It is very true the guest service worker should have had more solutions for you. As a local I can tell you that they do have a Coke tie-in that allows people to bring marked Coke products to basically receive the Stay and Scream price while only buying the HHN event ticket. Also a local grocery chain had basically vouchers for sale at a price discounted from full price. While in your case these wouldn’t have helped the employee should have mentioned them as they were official tie-ins.

I’m a big fan of the site and if you guys find your way back to Orlando’s Halloween events in the next year or 2, and for what ever reason cannot get FOL, let me know and I’ll show you some real Florida hospitality and make sure you can get everything in. I have been the last 5 years and have a system for getting through the park that I could share with you. I did 2 full nights this year (not including a couple nights of 2 hours here or there) and they were both Wednesdays. With FOL I did all 7 houses (3 twice) and both shows by 11. Without FOL I was able to get in 5 houses, Rockit, and both shows and that was waiting an hour to make sure we got good seats for the last Bill and Ted. If I had been following you on twitter and knew you didn’t have FOL I’d have given you tips if you had wanted them.

Thanks but our issue was more complicated than that. We needed to add the Stay and Scream option to our existing tickets. We couldn’t do it online or the phone, for an inexplicable reason. Until we knew we could even get our Stay & Scream tickets for the night we wanted to go (we weren’t paying HHN admission full price when we already had park tickets) we weren’t going to buy an express ticket. When we got to the park we were able to finally buy the Stay & Scream but by then the FOL was sold out. Given the situation with the online ticket upgrades, the Guest Services employee should have been solutions oriented and helped us get FOL for that night.

We had no problems with our Howl O Scream tickets.

Overall, FOL/Express just causes the regular lines to go much slower. It’s part of the reason why the Walking Dead line went from 30-75 minutes while we were waiting in it.
