EXCLUSIVE KNOTT’S SCARY FARM 44TH HAUNT GUIDE AND SNEAK PEEK
Enter the mysterious Meadowbrook Institute and witness the abnormal case of a terrifyingly unusual patient named Katie in the groundbreaking virtual reality horror experience FearVR: 5150. Using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus and strapped to a hospital wheelchair, come face- to-face with the deadly chaos unraveling around you. Disturbingly vivid sights and sounds invade all of your senses. Encounter the darkness that has taken over the medical staff during your fully immersive hospital stay. Patients beware; it is easier to check in than out. FearVR: 5150 requires an additional fee and is not included with park admission or Fright Lane with Skeleton Key. A limited number of reservations are provided on a first-come basis when Knott’s Scary Farm opens each night. Advance reservations are not available. Visit the ticket kiosk located outside The Dead of Winter: Revenge of the Wendigo maze in the Boardwalk area to make a reservation.
BACKSTORY OF RED BARN – NEW MAZE
A fulfilling life ensures a soul safe passage into eternity, but what happens to the souls of soldiers slain in battle? Enter the hair-raising Shadow Lands maze and fight off demon samurais whose souls are cursed to rot within the depths of purgatory. Guests will embark on a quest through a sacred shrine, an ancient Japanese temple and into the midst of the shadow lands.
BACKSTORY OF THE HOLLOW – NEW SCARE ZONE
The only place to see Elvira, the legendary Mistress of the Dark, this Halloween season is at Knott’s Scary Farm in her spectacular all-new nightly show, Elvira’s Danse Macabre. The show transports guests to a masquerade ball, hosted by Elvira, full of music, dance and comedy.

On Thursday August 25, Knott’s Season Passholders and Scary Farm Passholders were invited to an exclusive preview of this year’s 2016 Knott’s Scary Farm line-up. Knott’s Scary Farm returns for 24 horrifying nights September 22 – October 31. Knott’s Scary Farm has more mazes, monsters and scares than any other Halloween event in Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego. Knott’s Scary Farm is the largest Halloween experience in Southern California, with endless mazes and killer new surprises in 2016. Rising from the fog this year is the legendary Headless Horseman and his army of undead creatures ready to unleash a reign of terror in the first of its kind scare zone, The Hollow. Fight off demon samurais whose souls are cursed to rot within the depths of purgatory in the new hair-raising Shadow Lands maze. Enlist to fight the zombie apocalypse in an all-out war against the undead in the interactive experience, in an all-new urban setting, Black Ops: Infected.
