Do you like scary movies? Here’s a list of some new horror movies to check out this weekend:

In Theatres October 22

Paranormal Activity 2: The terror continues as a young couple copes with a potentially evil spirit in their suburban home. If you’re a fan of the documentary-style horror movie (Blair Witch, Cloverfield), you might enjoy this one. The first movie had some scary parts, and some people hated it and some loved it. We’re interested to read some reviews of the sequel.

Hereafter: Three people are touched by death in different ways. George is a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie, a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality. And when Marcus, a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might–or must–exist in the hereafter. This really isn’t a horror movie, but it deals with death and perhaps ghostly themes, so if you’re in the mood for a movie that’s not really scary but still worries you about the afterlife, check this one out.

Releasing  on DVD October 26

Lake Placid 3: A game warden moves his family to Lake Placid, once the site of deadly crocodile attacks. Locals assure him the crocs are gone, but his mischievous young son finds a few baby crocs and begins feeding them. They quickly grow into very big adults and start attacking the game warden’s family and nearby town.
