After “coming home” to HHN Hollywood in 2009, Mr. Myers is now headed out to Las Vegas to kill any chances of luck that you may of had. Michael Myers is one of our favorite horror icons so we may have to make a special trip to Las Vegas ourselves to see if “what stalks in Vegas, kills in Vegas”.
Beginning Saturday, Oct. 1 Fright Dome takes over The Adventuredome at Circus Circus and will partner with Compass Films International to theme two of its five haunted houses after the legendary horror film HALLOWEEN. Fright Dome’s HALLOWEEN themed houses will bring together popular scenes from the iconic horror movie guaranteed to terrify even the bravest. Guests can look forward to touring the famed Haddonfield Memorial Hospital through the psychiatric ward where Michael Myers is being held… or is he?
The second house will immediately transport the unsuspecting onto the front doorstep of the Myers home for a journey through the beginnings Michael’s terror. “We’ve always had one of the top haunted attractions in the nation but I would have never dreamed that I would have the opportunity to work with the most-recognized horror film of all times and the team behind it,” said Jason Egan, owner and creator of Fright Dome. “HALLOWEEN is a timeless classic and most people fear Michael Myers over any other characters out there. I’m thrilled that Las Vegas has embraced this event every year allowing us to grow and make this year truly the most terrifying yet.”
“Compass International Films is proud and excited to be part of Fright Dome this year,” said Malek Akkad producer of the HALLOWEEN franchise. “HALLOWEEN is the quintessential suspense film, and one that continues to thrill audiences every year, especially during Halloween season! We, along with the creative team at Fright Dome, are delighted to bring Michael Myers to the Las Vegas Strip. I am sure this will be a fantastic experience for horror fans of all ages.”Dark and fog-filled, Fright Dome creates a chilling atmosphere with roaming characters, high-powered strobes, multi-colored lasers and five acres of fright made up of all new extreme scare zones, rides, attractions and live shows.
In addition to partnering with Akkad to bring the new theme to Fright Dome this year, there will be a third new maze called Fright High. Returning haunts include Chainsaw Massacre and Hillbilly Hell.
Furthermore, Egan is working together with him to bring the message of his recently launched non-profit organization to the Las Vegas community. The sCARE (Suspense Community Allocating Relief and Empowerment) Foundation is dedicated to alleviating the hardships of poverty and homelessness facing today’s youth throughout North America to honor the suspense genre’s loyal teenage fan base. “sCARE Foundation is thrilled to be a sponsor of this year’s Fright Dome in Las Vegas,” said Akkad. “sCARE Foundation enables fans of the horror genre to give back and contribute in fun and engaging ways. Our partnership with the imaginative talents at Fright Dome will enable fans to do just that! We look forward to being a part of this great event and seeing all of the fans at Fright Dome in Las Vegas.”
Fright Dome is open from 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 1-31 on select nights. General admission tickets are $36.95 and fast pass tickets are available for an additional $15 which allow express line entry for all five haunted houses.
