In Southern California, we’re blessed (or cursed?) with a ton of options for Halloween activities. From home haunts to theme park events and everything in between, there’s something for everyone and almost every budget. But there are just a couple of events we at Scare Zone would consider to be “top-tier” or “premiere” events: One of those is definitely any event put on by JFI Productions. Perhaps most well-known for their extremely well-reviewed immersive haunt, Creep LA, they are also responsible for the immensely popular “The Willows.”
In this immersive haunted theater event, guests are invited to a “sprawling early 20th century 10,000 square foot mansion on the most haunted block in Los Angeles,” where they will become part of the story of the twisted LA family, the Willows.
Tragedy has struck the Willows family, and guests are invited to their home to celebrate the life of a dearly departed friend. Drinks flow and dinner is served, but the night quickly takes a bizarre turn. It seems as though sinister forces are at work inside the house – and within the family.

This event sells out almost immediately every year. We’re not kidding…if you’re interested in attending the Willows, you have to get your tickets right away. Tickets go on sale August 15, 2023 at 12 PM, so set an alert! Only 18 tickets are sold for each performance, which makes your visit that much more intimate and spooky. Although a starting ticket cost of $200 might seem steep, there is a reason this is a “premiere” event. The set details, storytelling, and acting are always top-notch, and the experience is akin to going to the theater…except you are also in the story. So we believe the cost is well worth it. The performance also includes hosted drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Performances run from September 15th through November 19th, 2023, with performances scheduled Thursdays through Sundays. You must be 21 years or older to attend.
