Scream-A-Geddon, a brand new “horror park,” is coming to Tampa, Florida, this Halloween season.

Although there’s not much information available yet, we do know that the the park will feature 6 attractions and will be set among “60 acres of old Florida forest.” There will also be a midway with carnival rides and, of course, concessions.

Given that they’re promoting the “forest” location, we can speculate that there might be a haunted trail/outdoor attraction included, which would help this event stand out from its huge competition—namely, Howl-O-Scream (Tampa) and Halloween Horror Nights (Orlando). Although these giant theme park haunts might make it seem hard for this new event to draw visitors, the competition might actually be in Scream-A-Geddon’s favor. Locals who are tired of the same-old thing at the big guys might be looking for something new and different. And tourists who are considering a trip to Central Florida during Halloween might be convinced to make the journey because of the addition of this new, substantial Halloween event.

We’re anxious to hear more of what’s in store, and we hope their website is updated soon with more details.
