Two years ago, The IT Neibolt House Experience mysteriously appeared on the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood, CA. It was a unique and fun movie promotional experience inside of a haunted house setting. While the scares were pretty mild by our standards it was a fun summer haunt experience that drew in large crowds. The house was then relocated onto the Warner Bros. studios backlot for their 2017 and 2018 Festival of Frights Halloween event.

This summer, Pennywise returns to work the corner of Hollywood and Vine at The IT Experience: Chapter Two. From August 15 to September 8, you can preview the new movie with a trip to Derry’s Canal Days Festival Fun House, which recreates a key set piece from the new film. The interactive “IT Chapter Two”-themed experience will serve up 40 minutes of spine-tingling entertainment that’s not to be missed.

There will be classic carnival games and a photo-op Ferris Wheel. But the main attraction will be the Fun House, where you never know who, or what, you might encounter. You’ll face your fears as you navigate ten immersive rooms, including a deceptive hall of mirrors, sinister clown heavy bags, Derry’s eerie sewers and much more. While in the experience, at any moment, guests may encounter their “host,” who could be around each twisted turn. After all, it’s been 27 years and he’s missed you…

The IT Experience: Chapter Two will be open from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily, and admission is free. Reserved times where available but seem to have sold out within a few minutes, but a standby/walk-up line will also be available. Those in the walk-up line who can show proof of an “IT Chapter Two” movie ticket purchase in the IMAX format will be allowed to join the reservation line. (The event is age 18+, but those age 17 can attend when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.).

About “IT Chapter Two”:

Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club in a return to where it all began with “IT Chapter Two.” The film is Muschietti’s follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed and massive global box office hit “IT,” which grossed more than $700 million worldwide. Both redefining and transcending the genre, “IT” became part of the cultural zeitgeist.

Twenty-seven years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise, he has returned to terrorize the town of Derry once more. Now adults, the Losers have long since gone their separate ways. However, people are disappearing again, so Mike, the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home. Damaged by the experiences of their past, they must each conquer their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise once and for all…putting them directly in the path of the shape-shifting clown that has become deadlier than ever.

“IT Chapter Two” stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Andy Bean. Reprising their roles as the young members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Bill Skarsgård returns in the seminal role of Pennywise.

Muschietti directed “IT Chapter Two” from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman based on the novel IT by Stephen King. Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin and Roy Lee produced the film, with Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Gary Dauberman, Marty Ewing, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg serving as the executive producers.

New Line Cinema presents, a Double Dream/Vertigo Entertainment/Rideback Production, an Andy Muschietti film, “IT Chapter Two.” The film is slated for release in theatres and IMAX on September 6, 2019 and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film has been rated R for disturbing violent content and bloody images throughout, pervasive language, and some crude sexual material.
