Midsummer-Scream-2020-dates

Last year, as we were walking around Midsummer Scream, we found ourselves really appreciating just how massive Southern California’s best and biggest haunt convention had become. With a huge vendor floor, kids’ area, live performances, a Tiki bar, and a long list of quality panels to attend, it was a lot to squeeze in over 2 short days. And that doesn’t even include the incredibly popular line-up of mini-haunts in Hall of Shadows, which can take several hours to get through, especially if you don’t get the upgraded pass.

Apparently, we weren’t the only ones who needed more time to see everything, because the Midsummer Scream organizers have wisely decided to add another day to the 2020 convention!

This year’s event will take place from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2, once again at the Long Beach Convention Center. Although hours haven’t been announced yet, we’re curious to see whether or not Friday will be a full day of events. We suspect they may follow the blueprint of Monsterpalooza, which typically opens Friday evening and runs through Sunday. Still, even a few extra hours could give haunt and horror fans the opportunity to be the first to purchase the best items from their favorite vendors and also the chance to avoid some of the huge crowds that attend on Saturday and Sunday.

Check back to Scare Zone for more details as they become available. And be sure to follow Midsummer Scream on Facebook for announcements about ticket sales and discounts!
