Wizards-Cauldron-Bar-Los-Angeles

Over the past year or so, we’ve noticed a new trend of “interactive bar experiences.” Last Halloween season, the House of Spirits Haunted Cocktail Soiree received good reviews and sold out many of its nights, and it has promised to return for 2020. But if you missed out on that experience, you don’t have to wait until October for your next chance at mixing alcohol and interactive entertainment.

The Wizard’s Cauldron bar is a new “immersive” pop-up mixology experience coming to Hollywood from February to April 2020. Here’s the description:

Unleash your inner magical being as you brew potions, cast spells, and drink more mead than you can shake a wand at.

In a simmering 90-minute experience, you’ll don your robe and sip mead as you experiment in the ancient art of potion making. Concoct devilish brews for good (or evil), all under the watchful eye of our wise potions master. Complete challenges to unlock your ingredients at this hands on magical experience!

The Wizard’s Cauldron has already “popped up” in Australia and England, but this is its first incarnation in America. Although they explicity deny any affiliation with Harry Potter, the influence is pretty obvious, as you can see from this video from Business Insider:

The boozy magic begins February 26 and runs through April 5. The exact location is apparently a secret but is revealed once you buy a ticket, which are currenty running at an “early bird” discount of $45. Some sessions are already sold out, so we suggest booking soon, especially for popular weekend evenings.
